Support Vehicle

In October 2007 we purchased a new race support van, The Iveco was sold on Ebay after sailing it's MOT.

The Mercedes Benz Sprinter is a 1999 4.6 tonne 412D with 6 wheels. Again ex-Police so came fully spec'd with air conditioning, diesel heater and a brand new engine, 2.9 5 cylinder. The Sprinter is also a significant length longer than the Iveco. We set about modifying it in a kind of "Pimp My Ride" style installing 2 LCD TVs 1 21" fold down in the rear and a 6" in the front, DVD player, Sony Playstation 2, Subwoofer and JBL speakers throughout, carpeting walls ceiling and floor, installed a kettle and general pimping. We opted to have it coloured black as our team colours are black red and silver.

We  purchased in January 2004 a new support vehicle. A 1995 Iveco 40/12 Turbodaily. It makes a great support vehicle as came with 11 seats, of which we use 8, has a 2.8 turbo intercooled diesel engine, self levelling suspension, electric windows, electric mirrors, interior fluorescent lighting and a supplementary diesel heater in the rear. The vehicle used to belong to Essex Police and made up one of the Riot fleet, so as you can imagine had battle scars but has only covered 60k miles. Post purchase we stripped the vehicle down and sent it off for a respray. Couldn't cope with another "white van". We have just finished attaching the team logos and 1 or 2 other stickers.
